Waste and Resource Mangement
Services:
From high-end restaurants and street-side takeaways to country
pubs and city-centre bars, the hospitality sector thrives on putting a smile on customers’ faces by serving them food and drink. We work around the clock to cater to your waste management needs that are essential to operating in the sector effectively and safely.
Around 10 million tonnes of post-production food and drink waste arises
in the UK every year and, staggeringly, up to 60% of this could be avoided.
It is a problem which, although getting better thanks to actions such as
more sophisticated segregation, is not going to go away.
Although the lion’s share of it occurs in domestic settings, commercial food
and drink businesses, no matter how efficient they are, produce waste and
require regular industrial cleans. From food past its use-by date to unwanted offcuts and unfinished meals left by customers, the cumulative effect creates a sizable waste mountain that needs disposing of.
The UK hospitality industry was worth over £130bn in 2019 but has since
been hit hard by the outbreak of COVID-19, putting pressure on costs and
closing many businesses.
M. Gaze has developed a suite of cost-effective services to support your
business, including interceptor and grease trap emptying, the secure destruction of spoiled or out of date goods, car park cleaning, gully cleans,
septic tank emptying and cleaning, drain unblocking and flood abatement.
We can also help with your waste disposal and recycling requirements
with solutions for packaging wastes (cardboard, plastic, paper, glass, and
more), and green wastes such as grass clippings and plant cuttings.
Food and drink wastes can be composted at our waste management centre in Norfolk, and we are able to provide treatment for hazardous wastes, edible oils and fats. Our services even extend to the disposal and treatment of chlorinated swimming pool water.
