Waste and Resource Mangement
Services:
Many industries produce some kind of oil-based waste.
From hydraulic oil and oily water substances to cooking oils
and fats, this form of waste cannot simply be disposed of viaa drain.
M. Gaze has all the facilities on site to safely and sustainably
process all types of oil waste.
Waste oils and oily wastes, such as oily water or oil filters are common
by-products of many industrial activities.
Whether you produce interceptor wastes, oily waters, engine or hydraulic
oils, oily rags, oil filters or more complex waste contaminated
with oil, M. Gaze is here to help and has been effective in managing
these wastes for many years.
Our on-site facilities and processes can separate valuable and recoverable
oils from interceptor wastes, oily waters and other oil mixes. Oily
filters and oily rags are drained where possible, with the solids bulked
and transferred for specialist processing and recycling off-site.
Cooking oils and fats should never be disposed via mains drains. If
dumped there, they will pollute water courses, can solidify as their temperature drops, attach to pipe walls and congeal with other items to
form infamous ‘fatbergs’. These fatbergs can block sewer systems and
are very costly to remove.
Most restaurants, pubs, hotels and cafes will have a grease trap to prevent
grease entering the mains drains, and M. Gaze can support these
businesses by pumping out grease traps to remove waste fats. We
recommended cleaning as fat deposits increase, and recharging your
grease traps to ensure they continue to work properly.
M. Gaze is able to process and recycle a variety of oil and oily wastes. Thanks to our purpose-built facilities, we can separate and recover valuable oils and recycle them into biofuels and animal feeds, helping to cut your environmental footprint. We can take away interceptor wastes, oily waters and other oil mixes, as well as cooking oils. Petroleum Act.
Despite being liquids, oils do not pass completely freely through drains and pipes. As they cool down, cooking oils and fats start to solidify and can cling onto pipe walls, creating fat bergs which can cause blockages. Blocked pipes can lead to flooding as liquids are prevented from travelling and discharging, issues which can be expensive to fix. By having your cooking oils and fats professionally removed from your premises, you can prevent this from happening.
