Waste and Resource Mangement
Services:
Industrial heat exchangers and their associated tube
bundles are expensive pieces of equipment which require
diligent and non-destructive cleaning. At M. Gaze, we have
all the tools and expertise required to provide safe and
efficient cleaning either at short notice or during periodic
maintenance.
There are many reasons why keeping heat exchangers clean is in your interest, not least because you can reduce fuel costs.
Cleaning heat exchangers helps to prevent fouling, which is often caused by a dirty, malfunctioning burner. We recommend inspecting heat exchangers and tube bundles at least once per year and part of that process should involve some kind of clean, especially if they look dirty. Inefficient heat exchange is caused by scale and sediment buildup,
and regular cleaning can prevent this from happening.
Using a wide range of jetting lances and specially adapted cleaning nozzles, M. Gaze is adept at cleaning all manner of heat exchangers and tube bundles in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Working with your site maintenance and turnaround teams, we can work in line with your planned maintenance programme or at short notice if required. Should the need arise, we can also provide hot water, surfactants or chemical dosing as specified.
Tube bundles and heat exchangers can, if untreated for prolonged periods, be subject to blockages which cause efficiency problems. By keeping them clean, you can prevent fouling and cut fuel waste as a result. A typical lifespan of a heat exchanger is 10 years or more – proper maintenance is therefore critical in order to make the most out of them.
Tube bundles and heat exchangers are fragile pieces of equipment and very expensive to repair and replace. Non-destructive cleaning using high-pressure water is the safest form of treatment – this cleans the tubes without damaging the original surface.
We recommend cleaning as part of periodic maintenance programmes which should take place at least once a year. M. Gaze can work in and around these schedules and also respond at short notice if necessary.
